Do Your Pension Savings Violate Human Rights?
On Monday 16 November from 7 to 9 pm, the Palestine group of Mellemfolkeligt Samvirke invites you to a debate at Forsyningen, Fælledvej 12, where you can learn more about how your pension savings are invested – and what those investments can mean for human rights.
Most of us rarely think about what our pension savings are used for. But pension funds' investments can help finance companies involved in human rights violations. This raises the question of what responsibility pension funds have – and what we can do to hold them accountable.
With a special focus on Palestine, we put pension investments and human rights on the agenda. Oliver de Mylius from Mellemfolkeligt Samvirke presents the report Pengene ud af ulovlige bossættelser (Money out of illegal settlements), and Retfærdig Fremtid shares perspectives and ideas for action from their work to make our pension savings contribute to a fairer and more humane world.
Join the debate on how our pension money is invested and what we can do to make sure our savings do not contribute to human rights violations. Everyone is welcome – you do not need to be an expert in pensions or investments to take part.
Participation is free – sign up via Billetto above.
