Landslide – from the Parliament of the Streets to Christiansborg

Date: Friday, 18 September 2026
Time: 16.00 - 16.45
Location: Folkehaven, Fælledvej 12, 2200 København N

The 2026 general election was a landslide election. The alliance of activists who have fought for climate and justice in the streets for years organised to get into the Danish Parliament. And they succeeded! Three candidates were elected, and two became first substitutes. Together they have opened the door to Christiansborg for the activists and movements working for green and just change in Danish politics.

How did they do it? How do you organise an election campaign? What is it like to take the step from the Parliament of the Streets to Christiansborg? And how are the activists using the landslide victory to create change?

Join us for a conversation with Elise Sydendal, who was elected for Alternativet, and Ida Lund, who was part of the team behind the election campaign.
